Affiliate Disclosure

A clear explanation of our shopping links.

Updated October 4, 2026. 1 True Reviews publishes outdoor buying guides to help readers compare equipment for their own plans.

Current shopping links

The current guides link to ordinary Amazon product searches. Those URLs do not include our affiliate tracking ID, and we do not currently earn a commission through them. We do not claim membership in Amazon Associates or any other affiliate program through the presence of these links.

Future affiliate relationships

If we join an affiliate program and add tracked links, qualifying purchases may earn us a commission. We will update this page and provide clear disclosures near the affected recommendations. Any program-specific statements will be added when they accurately describe an active relationship.

What the buttons mean

“Explore options on Amazon” opens a search at an external retailer. It is not an exact-model endorsement, a guaranteed price or an indication that every search result meets the criteria in our article. Review the individual listing, seller, specifications and return terms before you buy.

Editorial basis

Our current recommendations are comparisons of product types for particular scenarios. They are based on published information and editorial reasoning, not hands-on testing by this publication. We do not invent scores, customer-review totals or product-testing histories.

Photography and endorsements

Article photographs illustrate outdoor settings and activities. They are not evidence that we tested the pictured equipment. People, photographers and brands visible in licensed imagery do not thereby endorse this site or its recommendations.
